PA Developer is a characterisation and identification tool for high power amplifiers.

It is aimed at power amplifier developers who seek to optimise designs at the device and module level. It supports wideband communication standards such as multi-carrier WCDMA, LTE and WiMAX.

Applications include:

• Characterisation of non-linear transfer functions such as AM-to-AM and AM-to-PM.
• Measuring and identifying amplifier memory effect.
• Designing power amplifiers for compatibility with technologies such as digital pre-distortion.

PA Developer can be integrated with existing waveform generation and data capture setups or supplied with our own tools, which include the generation of waveforms with Crest Factor Reduction (CFR), if appropriate.
