Using mathematical analysis and simulation tools such as MATLAB or C, Systems4Silicon can develop novel algorithms, model the behaviour of components and systems and generate specifications for sub-systems. This can be used to provide the confidence that the completed system will operate as required in the real world. System models can also be used as a reference design during development, a means of generating test data for design verification and as a model for the investigation of errant behaviour reported in the field.

Systems4Silicon has specialist skills in communication systems with experience including:

• Channel codecs

• Phase noise correction
• Control loops such as AGC
• FIR/IIR filtering

As well as being able to work with proprietary communication systems, Systems4Silicon has considerable experience in the physical layer of IEEE 802.11n, 3GPP WCDMA HSPA+ and DVB-S/S2.
